Wal-Mart Informative - Beware of George Belts
LACEY, WASHINGTON -- I bought a George brand belt at the WalMart in Lacey, WA a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, this was the one receipt which escaped us. About the third time I wore it, I put it on and when I put the tongue of the buckle through the hole in the belt, it suddenly lost all the tension on it, and something hit the wall in front of me. When I found the piece that popped off, I found that a metal cylinder that had been part of the buckle, where it bridged the two ends of a roughly C-shaped piece of metal rod that was bent to form the majority of the buckle. The belt was not pulled that tightly, but it did come apart in two pieces. Generally, I am very happy with WalMart, but since George is a WalMart brand, the belt is rather shoddy. Come on, WalMart, get on George to put out higher quality products, like the watch that has a hematite band and bezel. It was my Christmas present and I love it.
