Microsoft Corporation Complaint - defective product - Trackball Optical
MONTPELIER, VERMONT -- Bought a trackball optical mouse to use with my new laptop. It didn't work very well, jerking and dragging. Finally went online to the microsoft web site where I found out that:
1)They knew about the defect
2)They offered a fix
The problem is that the fix comes with a warning:
follow these instructions and you may mess up your computer.
I wasn't happy with this fix and decided to try to complain to Microsoft and see if I could get a refund or at least an apology. What I discovered it that there is no way to complain.
I can't return the trackball to the store where I bought it. Too much time has passed.
I can't find a way to return the defective product to Microsoft.
I am screwed, alas.
Won't buy anymore of their hardware (alas, their software is very hard to avoid).
