The Hartford Insurance Complaint - Renewal if Auto Insurance

Review by Cathann on 2010-02-09
SOUTHINGTON, CONNECTICUT -- I need to renew my AARP auto insurance through the "Hartford". They have
raised my premium by $105.00 for the coming year. I thought I would shop
around and get a few more quotes. Low and behold, every quote I received
was lower that The Hartford, including their own as a new customer. They are still contacting me trying to get me to sign not realizing I am still
one of their customers, through AARP. So I called and told them what I had found online, the friendly person put me through to someone else who left me hanging for 10 minutes. I finally hung up, thinking he could call
me back. Nothing, Nada, no return call. Guess they can't explain why its cheaper to be a new customer than a 5 year customer through AARP. I am very disappointed that AARP is not on top of this.

Drop an e-mail to AARP and let them know about your experience. It'd be interesting to get their response.
