Vetrans Hospital Complaint - Can't get in

Review by BARTELL on 2010-02-10
This is not first time trying to get in to see a Doctor. They put you through to a nurse and then she determines if you need to see a Doctor and if you do then you are in trouble. you have to go to emergency if you need something soon and maybe 4 to 6 hours latter you get something done. the joke I here about the VA hospital is the only thing good is their end of life care and sometimes I think this is true.

I have to go to a clinic most of the time to get basic things handled and pay what ever for this as Va does not have this service.

What you pay is extremely minimal compared to the non-service population. VA does have "clinics" - however, it is not a walk in clinic.

Thank you for your service, but, I find your complaint a non-complaint. My husband is a vet and the VA Healthcare is excellent.

This sounds a lot like going to Sick Call.
only worse cos you think you'll get better treatment once you're out.

and "what you pay"...
you're considering what the OP pays in cash now.
The OP's *ALREADY* paid that difference in serving the country.

I know the Nashville VA has excellent care, I've had many surgeries there. You have to register there in order to get into there outside clinics and the one on Ft Campbell is very, very good. I have had the same doctor for the past 10 years. I don't go very often but he still remembers my face. You also have to submit a form once a year to determine how much you will have to pay, at least I do.
