Best Buy Complaint - Where did good service go?
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- I was not too happy with the service surrounding my last Best Buy purchase. Perhaps I was just spoiled by the great service I received at Circuit City where I used to buy electronics before they went out of business. They where so nice and helpful! Every customer was important no matter the size of the purchase and they always wanted to help you carry any even medium size items to the car. Now I know some people have bad days but my first purchase at Best But was OK but not too great of service. The last purchase was for a small sound system under $200. The only one they had left and had been returned and said damaged. No one knew the story but the sales person thought it wouldn't be out if it wasn't OK. I had already asked for help getting the one I buy to my car. I have had major surgery and was afraid my painful leg might give out if I tried to lift the big boxes around. The sales person seemed to get tired of helping me so he loaded the second system box on the cart (I just didn't want to buy the one that said damaged) and he said "here you push it to the front". He went on the help someone else. The sales person at the front was nice and I asked her if I could get help taking the box to the car. She said to ask the person by the front door so I did and then went to get my car. When I got back there was no one to help me. I pushed the cart out and struggled to get the box into the car. Fortunately I didn't fall. They blew it! I do really appreciate good service when I receive it. It is sad when some companies just don't get it. I will probably not darken the door of worst buy again!
