BT Complaint - Free Flights

Review by GIZLER on 2004-09-29
IOWA -- Its ten years since the know Infamous Hoover Free Flight Fiasco in the UK. Maytag where the owners of Hoover Europe at the time. In recent months there has been a Frenzy of free flight offers that are not going to plan. BT offer of free flights when you subscibe to BT braoadband has hit problems with applicants complaining that they have not received their flights or been contacted by BT agent Rise Travel. Rise Travel are also handling a free flight offer for E & J Gallio the Wine people. These promotions atract very large numbers of applicants. They gain a lot of publicity, however when thing's don't go to plan the bad publicity can bite back. It would seem lessons have not been learn't from the Hoover Flight Fiasco.

Complaints on the BT Flight offer & the
E&J Gallio Flight offer range from applicants none of whom had been provided with their chosen flights, challenged the availabilty of the promotional flights and whether the promotion was adequately administered. Also a complainant, who was informed that the chosen flights could not be supplied unless accommodation was booked through the promoters or paid a £100 supplement, an objection has been made that the promotion was misleading because the restictions that applied to it were not stated. MKM Marketing Promotions & Rise Travel Ltd are handing these and may other Free Flight Offers. BT have addmitted to problems on the free flight offers.
