Dish Network Complaint - Read your contract CAREFULLY - they will lie to you
You need to understand something we just now learned about dishnetwork.com. When you sign your contract, read it VERY CAREFULLY. They have a clause in there that says, basically, that pricing, packages, and fees are all subject to change WITHOUT NOTIFICATION.
What does this mean? You signed a contract that has PENALTIES if you cancel. And they have been RAISING the penalties a lot lately. So they could change your package price from 80.00 a month, for example, to 800.00 a month and NOT TELL YOU ABOUT IT. After you figure out they did it, your only option would be to pay what you owed until you got around to figuring it out, and quit the contract, thus paying the additional PENALTY FEES you owed for canceling.
We know because when we signed up, they told us we would be able to send our equipment back for free if we canceled. LIARS! Now they are charging us to ship the stuff back. When we called to complain, the manager at the EXECUTIVE OFFICE read us that part of the contract and said, yes, they can change prices at any time without notice. So then I said, so you could, without telling your customers, change prices for their TV package to $5000.00 per month and NOT GIVE ANY WARNING BEFORE YOU DID. And they are obligated, under their contract to pay it or the penalties?!!!
Notice: We just switched to AT&T - great plans - more channels LOTS CHEAPER -- the images are SO MUCH CLEARER IN HD than dishnetwork. Way better. Better customer service. Nice people.
And guess what else -- AT&T does NOT HAVE CONTRACTS!
TO HELL WITH DISHNETWORK! Don't sign the contract without reading ALL of it! They will lie to you. Get it in writing - anything they say!
