DaimlerChrysler Complaint - Products are deigned not to last
AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN -- Why would my 20006 Jeep Commnanders parts fall apart before the expiration of the "longevity of the part?" First year of having the Jeep, my engine seized up. With 3 year warranty, it was taken care of. Second year, my alternator didn't work. 3 year waranty took take care of that. Third year, four months after the warranty expired, the transmission oil, started leaking. Chryslers "good will" from customer service took $200 off the bill and I got stuck with $200. OK. Three days later, the engine light is on, Chrystler DOES NOT WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING. SORRY FOR YOU BYE.
It is costing me $230.00 in some kind of sensor, that monitors the amount of air is mixing with whatever.
I called Chrystler and asked them to completely overhaul the truck as OBVIOUSLY this truck is falling apart. This truck cost $32,000!!!! Chryslers attitude is: We screwed you ......too bad.
(I service it religiously via the book requiremnts.)
I came to the conclusion that cars are DELIBERATELY made poorly so that they are a cash cow for Chrysler. Just like Computers. Everbody knows that computers have a life longevity of three years. That is it. Then it is a pure cash cow for Microsoft.
Cars made in the 60s/70s lasted for 10 years or more........why not cars today? With newer technologies the cars are made worse?????
I think I am right in saying that this is DELIBERATE so that there is a high turnover in cars, therefore cash cows to the company as opposed to the safe durable products that they should be.
When cars were made in America by Americans for Americans.....the cars were safer and durable WHY???? Could it be that exploited workers are deliberately SLOPPY and don't care???????? I would suggest that is another reason why all of a sudden, America turns out the worst unreliable cars on the road. Sabotage by exploited workers?????
Whatever the case, Chyrstler should have if they were an honorable company with dignity, taken back my truck and given it a complete overhaul and diagnosis as to why I have a CASCADING FAILURE of major mechanical parts on this Jeep Commander. Instead they act like predators. "We sold you an expensive crap. You have no choice but to pay us if you don't want us to ruin your credit, and you have no choice Mr/Mrs/Ms Consumer." The have reduced consumer confidence and trust to dust with their barbaric predatorial attitude. I would NEVER buy Chrystler stocks, or products again. I hope they go out of business as soon as possible and let someone HONORABLE fill the niche they left behind.
