Do not order flowers from FTD.com. I ordered flowers from FTD on the date of 2-13-10 for delivery on Valentine’s Day and they never arrived. I called the very next day and they stated that the florist did not have that model, but I never received a call from the florist or FTD.com. All I received was a weak apology, and a claim that my money would be refunded in the next 7-10 business days (which didn’t comfort me at all). They are too expensive anyway. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. This review could have been completely different if they had just contacted me as soon as possible, but instead they chose to apologize upon being prompted too. I hope this business suffers horribly because they ruined Valentine's Day in my eyes for myself and my girlfriend. I felt I had to email her the confirmation just to let her know I did not forget to send her flowers on Valentine's Day which I do every year. This lack of action by FTD.com as well as the florist they contracted with is inexcusable. On this particular day customer satisfaction should be at 100% because it is a very important day for those who are in loving relationships. They offered me no satisfactory excuse and once again because of this I hope this company suffers. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Maybe you should not have waited until the day before Valentine's Day to order flowers. While that does not excuse the fact that they did not call you, you should have planned better.

@glitteringfirefly: I wouldn't be surprised if you or a family member works for them. "Maybe you should not have waited until the day before Valentine's Day to order flowers?" Are you serious? Maybe they shouldn't have sent me a confirmation saying they were going to be delivered that day. Maybe they shouldn't have took 75 dollars out of my account. Maybe you shouldn't defend services that get paid a lot of money whose services are flawed. Maybe you should have it happen to you before you make idiotic comments.

@pepperelf: yea they deliver on sundays. what glitteringfirefly is failing to understand is that I didn't have the problem with them not delivering the flowers or not being able to deliver the flowers. I had a problem with me having to call up there the next day and hearing this lame apology, "we apologize, we should have called you, but the florist says he can deliver the (VALENTINE'S DAY!!!) flowers today" (THE DAY AFTER VALENTINE'S DAY!!!) I don't expect anyone to understand this unless it has happened to them. Only an idiot would excuse such poor service and lack of accountability. To top it off they said my money would be refunded within 7-10 days as if I couldn't be compensated that very same day. Dont go through FTD.com!!! Go through the local florist!!! I don't want them getting a dime!!!

I don't understand why people go through places like FTD or Pro Flowers or any of the others, when they clearly are the middle man between you and a local florist. Why not save time, money and a headache by calling a local florist yourself? Is there some benefit to these places that I don't see?

Dands8, you've learned the lesson many others learned a bit earlier the hard way just as you did. At one time FTD was the premier florist site to order from. At that time one simply placed an order with his local florist and he in turn phoned a member of the FTD network and ordered exactly what you had ordered and specified any special requests. There was accountability back then.

Ordering from a website works for some. With others, well it stinks.
