Hollister Complaint - Hollister Gift Card Scam - Gift Card

Complaint
Review by WontShopAgain on 2010-02-15
OKEMOS, MICHIGAN -- I shopped at Hollister over Christmas and was talked into buying more merchandise so I could receive a $25 gift card. When I went to use the card on 2-13-10 I was told the card expired. The card states on the back "no expiration date." The store manager would not honor the card, the Hollister web site told me I should have been notified by the store, on-line, or by email - none of which was done. Bad business. Will not shop in the store again.

Take a pic of the card (front and back) and write a complaint to Hollister corporate and cc your Attorney General.

Found this on Hollister. com. It clearly states there is no expiration date. I would fight this. You got a good case here:

They're obviously using normal gift cards for expiring purposes. At my job we have specific gift cards sent to us with expiration dates on them. We can use a normal card and it won't expire, so this is REALLY weird. I'd be pretty mad too, if my company can order pre printed expiring cards, then what is stopping Holister from doing the same?

Sounds like Hollister and Abercrombie goofed this year with their gift card special and now want the consumer to deal with it. I'm sure it was one of those gift cards that was supposed to expire within a week or 2 but for some reason the company forgot to print that on card and want the consumer to just deal with it.

They rip you off on their clothes, and rip you off with thier gift cards. Never shopped there, and never plan on shopping there.
