Hotels.com Complaint - Reservation not honored
LAS VEGAS, NEBRASKA -- I used Hotels.com to book a room for my honeymoon. Upon arriving at the hotel (14 hours from home), the desk clerk informed me that they don't accept reservations from hotels.com, that the company has been charing up to three times the going rate for there rooms at time and has not paid there bills in under six months.
I called hotels.com to stop the charges and they said, "hum, that's wierd." They told me that there would be no charges made to our credit card and gave me a cancellation number for all 4 nights.
I returned home from our trip and checked in with my credit card. There was a $250 charge made by hotels.com - the original fee was $344. They said that it would be removed withing 10-15 days (already being on my card for 7 days). I told them that it was unacceptable that I pay 22 days worth of interest on my credit card for a room I never used. They said that it was there policy and had no explanation as to why the charge didn't even match the reservation fee.
