Chase Manhattan Bank Complaint - Chase is terrible at customer service
I had been with chase auto finance for about two years and I had set up automatic payments through my bank of America account. This was of course fine until I sold the vehicle. After selling the veihicle which was riduculous task in itself. chase continued to charge me a car payment after the account was paid and closed. Even though this account was already taken care of they still drafted money from my account for a car I didn't have, while in the mean time I had of course purchased another vehicle. So now I was paying for two vehicles and one I didn't even have anymore. This was not the worst part however, when I called chase to address the money they needed to refund me they told me that it was going to take 10 days to be researched and then they could process a refund?? this was totally unacceptable and I had to call them every day for 5 days to get an update until finally it had been about two weeks and I forced the agent to direct me to their supervisor. At this point I had accrued fee's on my other car payment and was short on my rent check and my checking account over drafted, which clearly all this would not be happening if it were not for this mistake that chase made. I was very angry with the agent and unfortunately its what it took to get a supervisor and to actually get this moving. they escalated it "apparently they can do that??" which makes me wonder why they didn't do it in the first place? but it took 4 days and I got the refund, however I am still really angry that I am paying fee's for someone Else's mistakes. funny though that these banks will charge you immediately if you make one. These large banking corporations are getting worse. The bigger they get the worse they are!
