Time Warner Complaint - They double charge
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI -- TWC used to be fairly decent to deal with. I had set up a 2 step payment plan. I received money early and called and asked if I could pay the first payment EARLY and was told of course. I asked if I wanted to pay the next payment early did I need to call and I was told no. I wouldn't have a balance so they wouldn't deduct anything. SO I did make the first payment that day and when the first original payment date arrived, no money was deducted from my checking account. I received my income tax back and decided to pay the second payment as well. This was way before it was due and seeing how I had already asked about it and had had no difficulties saw no reason not to. However, that was not the case. I had an additional $102 deducted from my checking account on the day the second payment was due resulting in an overpayment on my account of $102 at that time as the current bill was not due yet. I called TWC and was told that I should have called and that the payment was being credited back to my card but it would take a few days, the customer service representative was not for sure how many days. I waited approximately a week and checked today. IT was still not credited to my checking account. However, since the new bill had cut they will not return my money telling me I should never had paid early and it was my fault not theirs. I asked them how I would know not to trust their own customer service operators. I would think they would be the person in the know on policies not me. They have hung up on me twice and refuse to let me speak to a supervisor that might actually listen to the recorded calls that they tell you at the beginning of the call they are doing. So all in all they got their money twice and I got squat except for late fees on my rent. Bottom line, I'll never pay early again. They can wait till the due date for their money.
