Best Buy Complaint - Best Buy Manager just lost 2 great customers!
TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- My husband and I are Premier Silver reward Zone customers at Best Buy. We have bought everything there for the last 5 years from all of our appliances for our new home,..(washer and dryer 6 months ago, and our refrigerator 3 years ago) to LCD TV's,..(4 in the last 4 years) to computers,..(4 in the last 2 years),..2 Playstation 3's,..an Apple Ipod,...a Canon camera,..just to name a few that I can remember. My husband needed to buy a new Laptop for work so a month ago,...January 17th,..he purchased an HP laptop,..which has done nothing but given him trouble. He has been on the phone with Hp for a week because the Windows were not installed right. That is not the complaint,...it is common knowledge that whenever you need ypour computer the most,..it will fail you! The problem I have is the unbelievable rudeness that I just encountered from the manager of the Best Buy store in Tulsa, Oklahoma on 71st Street! I know that everyone can bend the rules if neccessary,...I am sure that if someones mother or brother comes to the store that you are the manager of, you would probably help them by exchanging a broken laptop,..but that is not the problem either. This man that is suppose to be in comtrol of the customers happiness just hung up on me while I was in the middle of talking to him! Iunderstand that because we are over our time when we could have taken back the laptop,..they do give a whole 2 weeks to return items,...but I feel that the way this man just treated me on the phone is grounds for being fired. There is no reason why a human being who has spent hard earned money on a item should be treated this way. I was trying to get to the bottom of what it would cost us if we took the laptop into Geek Squad,..when he literally hung the phone up on me. This was no accident,..I could hear him actually slam the phone down on the base! What has happened to common curtesy and human kindness?
I am sad to say that Best Buy has lost 2 very good customers because this man was so rude to me,..for no reason besides the fact that he couldn't help me with my problem.
I hope this e-mail can get into the right persons hand and somethiing can be done. I will keep trying to find the right person until someone has heard me. I am one consumer who has had it up to my ears with rude sales people. Looks like I will be shopping at a different store from now on.
(By the way,...a week after we bought the laptop,..Walmart had it on sale,..and the extended plan was also cheaper than Best Buy!)
