DirecTV Inc Complaint - Crooks... or THAT incompetent?
I can so relate to many of the reviews I have just read about direcTV (And I had always assumed that it was 'just me'...). Although I will gladly admit that I have had some positive experiences with DirecTV's customer service over the MANY years I have been a customer, I will also gladly admit that it has NOT out-weighed the negative.
My most recent experience entailed a lengthy dispute that was finally resolved in my favor. In fact, the nice fella said that it was being removed "right now". The following month, the charge showed up on my bill again ('past due amount'). I called direcTV again... had to go through the same ordeal over again. Fianlly, I was told again that it would be removed. Before hanging up, I asked this guy who I should ask for next month when this charged showed up on my bill again- He stated, "mam, it is being removed" (clearly irritated by my implication that they might not get it right... imagine that!). I received an email the following day from yet another cutomer representative (got an ID number with it) stating that my dispute had been reviewed and the charges were valid and therefore would not be credited to my account. Sooo, I shot back a long detailed email detailing my entire ridiculous experience up to that point... including pointing out- "the left hand has absolutely NO IDEA what the right hand is doing... the incompetence... the stupidity... was almost laughable. I also informed them that I intended to exhaust myself spreading the word about their 'business practices' and that it would be quite easy since the internet gives me a global audience.
I recieced another email the following day with sincere apologies and a credit 'in writing'. Does it restore my fiath in DirecTV? Lord NO! Nor do I believe that is the end of my troubles with them.
