DaimlerChrysler Informative - Chrysler sells "buyback lemons" at auctions! BEWARE
I purchased a car at Brewer in Clovis NM. I live in Texas. I went to get my registration and it was on hold by the state of Texas. It was a lemon titled vehicle. It was purchased by Brewer at the Dallas Auction. Chrysler had taken it to auction to get rid of. All I could find out was that the vehicle was a lemon because the service engine light came on all the time. funny, when I test drove it... it did that and Brewer told me that it was just a reset button after being serviced. Boy, was I a sucker.
I ended up taking back the car... and they refunded me... but I drove by there a few days later... and still for sale. If they sell it in NEW MEXICO, the title will not show as lemon!
I have contacted the New Mexico department to take action so I can save the next sucker from buying this car without being told. IT would be fine, if you knew and paid a price accordingly.
I don't think Chrysler should be selling lemon cars anyway! And shame on Brewer for not disclosing.
I say I got a refund... I actually had to buy another car from them to keep my tax break of trading in a truck... and was already sold.
live and learn. ARGH
