Smart Lease GMAC Complaint - Smart Lease Gmac Confusion

On Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 Becky of Smart Lease informed me that it was imparitive for me to turn in my leased Cadillac immediately. I informed her that I was awaiting to hear from GMAC to see if the auto could be financed for purchase. Becky told me that the application "would not be processed because of the lateness of a payment and to either sell the car today or turn it in."
I turned the car in on Friday Feb 19th to Art Moran dealership.

Today, Feb 22, 2010 I received a call from GMAC asking for the mileage on the vehicle because they were considering my application. Becky flat out fabricated the situation and stated that the car was scheduled for pick-up.

This only a short synopsis of what I've been going through since early January. I have been a loyal GMAC customer for 18 yrs and can't believe the thanks I've gotten. Merely unbelievable anxiety has been caused only to find out that I could have purchased the car in the first place.

When did your lease actually expire? If it expired on the 18th, you should have taken care of the attempted purchase before then. After the date the lease expires, you no longer are entitled to use the vehicle.

I'm surprised she advised you to sell a LEASED car.

I am sure you were not informed to SELL the vehicle, as I am sure you were not misinformed. That dept should not have contacted to you for anything on that vehcile for numerous reasons...
