Continental Airlines Complaint - Rude staff and made to sit apart
Even though this experience happened over a year ago I still get angry and deeply upset thinking about it:
My husband and I were booked onto a flight via Houston with Continental Airlines and had checked in early enough to get two seats at the front. When we boarded we found a woman sitting in one of the seats. The staff refused to move her and told us to just sit down. They were extremely aggressive and we only sat down with the promise that this would be resolved after take-off. I wish we had stood our ground now. During the flight they refused to do anything and when we left our seats to talk to each other we were told that we were not allowed to leave our seats for even a moment "because of 9/11". This is, of course, rubbish. We were then subjected to a flight-long of bullying from an older female air steward and a young male one. At one point they turned their backs on us and talked about how pathetic we were to want to sit together.
We complained to the company who could only apologize that we felt 'the need to write'!!! Of the 4 Continental flights we went on all of the staff was curt, but this one was just awful and hurtful. Please take my advice and never fly with Continental.
