Crossed Eye Moose Cafe Complaint - Really Bad - New Restaurant

Review by colorado grandma on 2010-02-22
CLOUDCROFT, NEW MEXICO -- This new place is horrible. I don't know what the previous person was experiencing! I had really bad service and the waitress just laughed about it. Laughed! This is no way to treat your customers. Other people have experienced really poor service and long wait times and poor food. It is basically the Western Cafe's menu at a new location and we all know how terrible the Western's food and service are. The decor is basic and white like my doctor's office. Not the atmosphere I want when I am eating.

I hope the owner's read this and make this a good quality place that we desperately need here in Cloudcroft.

The decor is your worst complaint?

Sounds like the place is just getting started. Give them another try in a few months.

"Crossed Eye Moose Cafe" - Is that really the name?

When the waitress laughed, did she laugh as in she thought it was funny, or did she laugh like she was embarassed? Did she do anything to try to make things right for you? As for the decor, maybe they were trying to create a Winter scene?

hell just the name of the place alone would make me giggle...

Agreed, call for Gordon Ramsay. He may be abrasive and foul-mouthed, but he does know what he is talking about and he genuinely wants the places he goes to to succeed.

I have worked in restaurants, and can tell you that as executive chefs go, he is really fairly mild. I would give anytihng to spend a week with him to hone my skills. It is a new restaurant, cut them some slack already.

well it's a bit like going to Boot Camp.

I mean look at R. Lee Ermey. (Aka "Gunny" from Full Metal Jacket). That kind of language is very effective.
