Legend Nissan - Syossett, NY Complaint - Liars and Thieves - 2006 Nissan Altima

Review by Meri S on 2010-02-23
SYOSSETT, NEW YORK -- I bought a used 2006 Altima in June 2009. It was posted in Newsday for a price of $12K. I put a down payment of $5,800 and financed the rest. I spoke to the Finance Manager, Chris Donovan who said my monthly payments would be about $200. A few weeks later, I received my payment booklets from the bank. The price was not what Chris told me. The total monthly payments turned out to be $306.31.

I immediately contacted Legend Nissan and the bank who financed me. I asked the bank and requested a breakdown of my payments. I got the paperwork a few days later and was blindsided. The paper present to me from the bank was nothing I ever saw let alone signed at the dealership. My signature was forged.

I spoke to numerous employees at the dealer these past 8 months and have gotten no where. They said they fired Chris. I have tried and set up appointments with the manager Bob Kravitz, and replacement Finance Manager Nick. I have showed up they conveniently "left for the day."

There is so much more detail to this shady place. I am disappointed I have gotten nothing after all this time. I have to shell out the money anyway to pay for a used car which in the long run will cost me over $30,000.

NEVER do business with Legend Nissan. They are a bunch of scam artists.
