General Motors Complaint - Lack of quality in GM products
PINEHURST, TEXAS -- I currently own the second GM vehicle I have ever owned in my life. It will be my LAST. GM must have some of the worst engineers in there employ that exist. Not only is there evidence of poor quality in the parts on the vehicles but accessibility to parts on the vehicles is terrible. I am certainly glad I am not a GM mechanic. For years I have worked on my own vehicles, but this one is almost impossible. I bought a 1995 GMC Diesel Pickup Truck. I bought the truck when it was about 3 years old. It only had 62,000 miles on it and it looked very good. It was my first diesel and I was told by many people that diesels run for ever. An exageration of course, but at about 100,000 miles numerous things began to break down. Now at 124,000 miles I am continuously having to work on the truck to keep it running. I use the truck to pull a camper, but am now afraid to go out of town in it. This is the hardest vehicle to work on I have ever owned and GM parts are terribly expensive. I really wish the engineers that design these vehicles had to work on them. Maybe then they would do a better job.
