TEMPLE, TEXAS -- I bought a RX-73 (I think thats the model) used from a lady who said it never did run right. The motor wasn't frozen or leaking so I gave her $300 and after initial effort took it to The Deere dealer in Temple, Tx. They charged me $300 and showed me the best way to start it. I called them for a onsite service call the next time it wouldn't start. $65 as I remember..and the next and the next. The following year I sold it for $100 to a guy that said he would get it fixed. He called me later to say that he spent quite a lot of time troubleshooting it before finding that the electronic control module was bad. He replaced it and says it runs fine. I'm looking for a mower for my new house. Guess which brand I am NOT considering.
