First Franklin Home Services Complaint - First Franklin is HORRIBLE

Review by JuneNeal on 2010-02-25
LAKELAND, MINNESOTA -- Hi,
I was screwed over at closing too. My husband and I showed up for the closing and the papers were all wrong at the end.....we said we weren't going to sign. They say "Come tomorrow an we'll make the changes." So, we show up the next day and they rush us through the paperwork and say all this is the same and they get to the numbers part and it was fixed so we signed it. Well, come to find out it was an ARM......it was supposed to be a fixed rate. I am pissed because when we found this out, we started a Loan modification in March 2009 and in November got a letter saying we qualified for "Obama's Making Home Affordable Program".......well, I just got a call today saying we make to much and NOW do not qualify. This was dragged out for so long just to tell them we are screwed....she told me to refinance and I said I can't because my credit went to shot and I am upsidedown on my mortgage..........what a crock....waiting for so long and drawing it out for so long just to have them tell me I was up a creek with no paddle............I al SO open for a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against these scammers..........

You should always know what you are signing. And if you don't have a good understanding of mortgages, closings, etc. you should have hired an attorney to represent you and protect your interests.

Sometimes people think they can handle the closing themselves and save money by not using an attorney, but it can end up costing more money in the end.

Thanks for the "I told ya so".

Nope, not saying that at all. It's just that I don't think there is much you can do about this situation now, so I was only trying to give you some advice for the future. You didn't understand what you were signing, and I was simply suggesting a way to prevent that from happening again.

Also OP remove your personal information from this post. Never put your name phone number and address on a message board you are asking for headaches by doing that

yep cos now a bunch of strangers have your full name, phone number, and address

and you don't know how many of us are sane

I honestly don't see the big deal about people posting their own personal information. Heck, how's it any different than a listing in a phone book. I doubt anybody posting info on my3cent's ever got Biz'ed for it.

actually im not in the phone book

and there's always identity theft

and again sure i'm harmless but... you never know, there could be crazy people here.
