Simplexity/Best Buy Complaint - Online Cell Phone Purchase
RESTON, VIRGINIA -- I placed an order for two cell phones on the Best Buy online order form. After reading the qualifications printed in "red" for an upgrade I decided to order a second cell for my spouse. I placed all required information to include credit card, social, etc. After review, the second cell was cancelled and rejected for upgrade. I used the instant message feature on the "whereismyorder.com" website and inquired about the rejection. They replied that the second did not qualify for upgrade due to contract eligibility. I replied to them that the web based order form indicated that the primary phone need be eligible for upgrade to qualify both, which it was. They clearly misrepresented their advertisement on the web and led me to believe that I qualified for both upgrades.
I received my cell and instantly returned it. Best Buy should have never acquired this third party Simpexity company to do their laundry...It still stinks!!!!!!
