ARIZONA -- I bought a White Barcelona style chair and Ottoman from this company in March 2009. It was advertised as Leather and described in my invoice as "leather". The chair and ottoman are very rarely used but within about nine months, the pieces were a mess.

1) There is no leather anywhere -- the pieces are entirely vinyl.
2) The metal frame is RUSTING and corroding (in a completely dry environment).
3) The straps and piping have turned a dark YELLOW color. I think this is due to the glue they used...
4) The leather-like material is also PEELING

When I contacted them said it was a discontinued item and "they will not accept returns or refunds over items that are subject to general wear & tear etc."
They offered nothing as recompense.

Normal wear and tear after 9 - 12 months!!! This is just crap.
Stay away!!!

I'm not sure, but are you saying as soon as you received and accepted delivery, you were aware they weren't leather? Why didn't you just reject the pieces right then and there?? Or did it take you almost a year to realize they were not leather? Are you able to prove what happened to the items is not from regular wear and tear?

Not judging, just asking.

The leather match looked pretty good at first and I'm not an expert -- it looked and felt like leather. However, I started to see yellow discoloration in a few spots within a few months. i thought it was something I could clean off and I tried to do so with a leather cleaner. The more time went by, the worse the discoloration got until now, all the piping and lots of the bottom of the cushions is discolored. It was a slow process and I probably should have reacted sooner but my first email to the company was less than 9 months after my purchase. There's no way it could be normal wear and tear. How would I prove it in any case? I live alone and neither the chair nor the ottoman have been sat in/on more than a dozen times in the last year. The metal legs also corroded slowly. At first it was just a little cloudiness (and again, I thought I could just clean and polish it off) but it just got worse and worse.
