Geek Squad Complaint - Yeah, well, screw you, Geek Squad. :/
Okay, so, background. We bought my Toshiba Satellite, which I have named Parker, at our local Best Buy. Well, fast forward to close to a year and a half. We bought extended warranty on it, and when her hard drive crashed and burned, took it it. We were told, right there in the store, that it would be two weeks at the most. We took it in Feb 15, right after the store opened. I called last Monday, simply wanting more information than what their site gave me. I was then told I should have my comp back by that Thursday. I didn't have it, so I called to make sure everything was okay. Well, it was still in repair. I was contacted the next morning for them to check and make sure their information was valid. I assumed my laptop, since I was contacted at 8 AM, would be shipped later that day.
I waited all weekend, assured that I'd see it Monday. Well, when I got no word Monday, I called that afternoon--giving them ample time to receive it. I was then informed, "Tomorrow or Wednesday."
So I called today, because I can forgive one day late--that's slow shipping. However, my laptop wasn't shipped until yesterday morning, and now, I'm being told that I may not see it until Thursday--half a week over when I was told. Now, I've talked to their headquarters, and they assured me I'd receive my laptop well before their final date--March 5. That I should have had it yesterday (beginning of this week). ...When I brought this up, the guy at the store very quickly changed the subject to them needing my restore disc.
I am going to take it up to them, but I'm also going to let them know that they'll not hear from us again--warranty be damned.
