Wendy's - Fairfield Ave, Pensacola Fl. Complaint - Manager with bad manners

Review by Terence on 2010-03-02
PENSACOLA, FLORIDA -- I am a 75 year old senior and when I asked for a senior drink discount the cashier requested the manager to put in a discount on the register. She The (Black Lady Manager) screamed at the cashier and told her not to give me a discount unless "I asked for the discount." I told her I had asked for the discount. She just scowled at me and did give me the discount.

This is the kind of service that makes people go to other places for food.
And I might add that the Dr. Pepper was mostly soda with a little syrup. It did not taste like Dr Pepper. The French Fries had cooked and uncooked potatoes.

The Dr. Pepper thing just means that they had to change the syrup box in the back, it happens. Also I don't see what her being black had to do with anything.

***Groan*** Another senior discount debacle. It reminds me of my local Chick-Fil-A where there is no one under 55 in the store during the morning due to the lack of seating because all the seniors are getting their free coffee...and free coffee only! No sandwich...no nothing...just free coffee.

It wasn't a debate. I think this complaint is valid. The manager should not yell at employees, let alone when a customer is present. And if the company offers the discount, the customer had a right to ask for it.
