Bosch Complaint - Bosch EcoSense makes no sense
When the Bosch dishwasher that was in my new home went belly up I just chalked it up to an old appliance. My insurance company replaced it with a Bosch EcoSense. This appliance is so poorly designed I am amazed. First, the flatware holder is located in the back of the bottom, meaning that in order to put one fork in I have to open the door and pull out the bottom rack to reach it. Second--as with all dishwashers, there is a gutter between the body of the appliance and the door when open. But on the EcoSense when I roll the bottom rack forward it hangs in the gutter, clanging plates and knocking off track. This is particularly true when there is more weight in the front of the rack than the back. Front weight makes it nosedive into the gutter and hang. Some would say load the dishwasher from the back to the front, but I have a husband and a teenager I'm just lucky to have load anything, much less in a particular order. Third, the rack openings for plates are too small on the bottom. I will NEVER buy another Bosch product. I called to complain and was told that Bosch dishwashers are the design envy of the industry.
They were unwilling to help me and suggested I call an appliance center, but what can a local appliance store do if there is no newly designed rack to replace the bad one? I say buy Kenmore dishwashers. They last forever and have great rack space.
