General Motors Complaint - 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora is a money pit!
Bought a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora from the original owner, Florida car, garage kept, totally pampered with 45,000 miles on it. Thought it would be a great car for my daughter when she turned 16. It now has 60,000 miles on it and I am regretting ever buying it!
Both rear window motors/regulators have gone out ($420+ each), multiple crank sensors have failed, lights on the steering wheel controls and heated seat switches are out, total failure of the ABS/Traction Control/Active Handling system which the dealer said was not a recall and was due to corrosion of the bearing/hub electrical connections, intake manifold seal is bad causing a lean engine issue, center console door hinges broke with only 40,000 miles on the car (!), headliner is sagging, I could go on and on! This car has 60,000 babied miles on it! A retired women drove it for the first 45,000 miles (over a period of 8 years!) when it wasn't sitting in her garage!
I have owned many new GM cars, my wife gets a new one every 2 years since 1994, but I doubt I will be considering another GM product when it is time for her to get another new one (and I get GM's discount!).
