Sears Service Dept. Complaint - Unusually long wait for service...12 hours!
Weeks ago, I scheduled a repair on my washer. The date was set and the expected "it will be between 8AM and 5PM" The day came, no call as I was told that I would receive. 5PM..6PM came and went. I called the service number 6 times and they couldn't help. Finally one technician had mercy on me and transferred me to the scheduler who hung up on me. I called again and another technician put me on hold and called and I got the answer...overbooked and it would be by 7PM. By now I had cancelled a lunch and now a dinner date. The Service person arrived, reeking of smoke, but he was here and was pleasant enough, but my day was ruined by then and I was not a "happy camper". The conclusion: the once mighty Sears has fallen. I will cancel my card and I have had it since 1972, When I remodel, I will get rid of all Kenmore products and start anew with a dependable brand and a service technician I can trust. So sad, Sears was once so good. Farewell Sears.
