Able Moble Home Transporter Complaint - Moving Moblehome

Review by nitro fish on 2010-03-07
MINERAL POINT., MISSOURI -- Able Mobile home transporter did the worse job possible. They cut the elect. wire at ground level I can't put another Mobile home on this pad. I would have to pay a lot of money to replace it. it's underground. then they pulled the home over my fence. They didn't unhook the sewer or ac. they just tore it out of the ground. Tore up the siding and guttering.

And refuse to repair or pay for damage. and got rude when I asked them to repair it. There are to many bad. to write down. I would not anybody to go though this co.

what did the contract state? generally these items are the home/property owners responsibility.

Nitro, do you own a Mobile Home Park and this company damaged your property and left you with a mess while moving another mobile home or did you contract with them to move your mobile home?

I think MC is on the right track here - usually an electrician needs to unhook the electric service and a plumber would need to cut the water and waste service. If the transporter shows up as scheduled and you are not ready, they are just going to "cut and run". Like MC said, check your agreement - it should tell you who is responsible for what.

I still want to know if this was the OP's personal mobile home being moved or a renter's mobile home. If your personal home then I would expect there was a contract involved specifying as to what would be expected when they arrived. If a renter of a space that would be different I expect. Is a contract required from the owner of the property to allow a renter to move his mobile home?
