Ford Motor Informative - transmission fluid change
CINCINNATI, OHIO -- several people i,ve talked to have said that soon after they had their transmission serviced at a ford dealer, they started having trans problems. the flush and fill system they use causes particles to be spread thru-out the transmission and will soon cause the trans to go bad. most independent shops will not use the flush and fill machine, as they already know this. i just took my moterhome in for a transmission fluid change at 25,000 miles [2001 model]. i started having trouble with the transmission overheating right away. their certified mechanics couldn't find the problem even though there is a TSB telling them to change the trans cooler. they didn't and my trans cooked itself by 28000 miles. if anybody else out there has had a problem after having their trans serviced, please email me. maybe we can get some help from ford if we stick together.
