Millie's Restaurant Complaint - Say what you mean - brunch

Review by apparently nobody special on 2010-03-07
I was just treated very rudely. If the owner had just said what he meant... i.e. sitting at the bar was not allowed if you were waiting for a table...because, apparently he wanted to make other people who had been waiting for a table sit at the bar instead...he should have said so. Instead, he opted to give my friends, of whom he knew one, and I a lot of grief about sitting at the bar where we were not allowed. It was ridiculous. We're restaurant people, too. We would have understood. Instead, he embarrasssed me and I left. I will never return. I was glad to see his business was doing so well. I was treated like dirt. No excuse.

I am so confused. You weren't allowed to sit at the bar, due to the fact he wanted the people who had been waiting longer, to have the ability to sit at the bar first?

The bar is not a waiting area. If you are going to sit at the bar, you need to buy a drink.

I second Slo, it sounds like you were taking up bar chairs and not ordering. Some places have bar seating where dinner is served to you while at the bar. Someone likely requested bar seating for their dinner and YOU were taking up THEIR seats.
