CVS Complaint - Bad Customer Service at CVS Bedford, MA
BEDFORD, MASSACHUSETTS -- CVS in Bedford, MA is a small branch that serves our town as well as neighboring ones. I’ve been going there for years and always been pleased, until my recent visit there which was a very unpleasant experience.
The reason for my last visit at CVS was to clarify a few things on my receipt from my purchase the previous night. I brought the receipt with me, as well as two items I purchased and needed to return.
There were only two active registers. I waited in line and approached the register when it was my turn.
The person at the register (who happened to be Andrea, the manager in charge) was impatient and rude. She had no interest in helping me whatsoever. I offered to quickly go to the shelf myself and bring the products in question to her so she could scan them and see how much they should ring. I ran, grabbed the item and came back to the register.
When I got back the counter was already filled with another customer’s purchase. I politely asked to move it as I was not done but Andrea ignored my request. I removed the basket with everything in it and placed it aside.
Later on, as Andrea was processing my return with a stern face, she said all of a sudden: “you do realize that there are 6 people behind you, right?”. I was speechless. I didn’t know what to say. How humiliating! I did not go to CVS to waste neither her time nor mine!
I need to stress that my entire time at the register was only 5 or 6 minutes. Needless to say, I felt extremely embarrasssed in front of all the other people there.
I work in retail myself so I know first-hand what customer service means and what it involves. What I experienced in my recent visit to the CVS was customer dis-service.
