Dish Network Complaint - Dish Networks Quality and hidden fees
MASSACHUSETTS -- This is the first online complaint I have ever submitted. I switched from Comcast HD to Dish HD approx 8 months ago. The quality and service has been extremely poor. while watching the TV the service skips and blacks out every 30 minutes or so. The dish needs to be adjusted "re-pointed" by a technician after high wind, snow builds up on the dish cancelling out service, sound and picture is distorted. I have had the service technician tune up the service several times. Each visit without the "service plan" is $95.00 and with the service plan its $15.00 for a technician to visit your home for service. Dish makes $$$ doing service calls and they will not budge on the fees. Dish should not charge the consumer for faulty and poor quality service. I lost service on 150 plus channels a week ago and after 2 hours on the phone the Dish technician they scheduled a technician to come to my home ( 5 day lead time ) and $95.00 for the service call to "REPOINT THE DISH" If you sign up for this service be PREPARED for COSTLY HIDDEDN FEES and POOR QAULITY SERVICE.
I just made the decision to switch back to COMCAST. Dish customer service did not care that I am leaving the service. They only wanted to be sure I was aware of the $189 cancellation fees if I cancel the service.
