Shane Co. (Franklin TN) Complaint - Not happy - Customer Service

Review by kc117ster on 2010-03-08
FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE -- My fiance and I went to Shane Co. after leaving a Jareds and a Kay Jewelers in hopes to find our wedding bands. Well not only did we not get greeted when we walked in, but when someone did finally greet us and ask if they could be of any assistance, it was of no use by then. A young lady walked in right behind us and was assisted on the spot! We were in the middle of telling the sales person what we needed and she rudely interrupted us to clean this ladies ring that just walked in! Then, once we got her undivided attention (once she got back from cleaning the ring) she asked what we were in the market for because they don't work off commission. Why was that important for her to tell us? It's not like we didn't know that as the commercials are on the radio ALL the time. We told her what we were looking for and she cut us off stating they didn't have that and didn't even offer to order this. She asked about my band and I explained I wanted a ring guard...again cut off...We don't do those. Didn't even offer to find an alternative....at least Jareds did that AND cleaned my ring for free! She did however think she was "helping" us by going to get a Platinum band (which after telling her we liked the Tungsten look) and saying this is what they could offer him. WHAT? I mean she was very uneducated about not only jewelry, but customer service in general!

Why try to force us to buy a ring that is almost 3 times the budget of a Tungsten band if you don't work off commission? Oh wait, because it's more expensive and you'll get paid at the end of the day regardless. So why not go big?! Whatever. I will NEVER go back to them just based on the service, or lack there of.
