Bredemann Toyota Complaint - Do Not Buy From Bredemann

Review by MLP on 2010-03-09
PARK RIDGE, ILLINOIS -- Whatever you do, do not buy from Bredemann Auto Dealerships. I purchased a Toyota Camry 3 years ago and as everyone now knows-except Toyota- the cars have huge problems. During the period of time my car was experiencing software problems - after just 80 miles- [snip] and his service staff were unable to fix the problems. And on top of that blamed me. Thankfully, most of my issues were not safety related-except when the car started and stopped on its own for a period of three hours. However, as a result of the current accelerator problems, the Bredemann staff did call me to set up an appointment for the warranty work. And guess what? When I got there they would not work on my car because of the problems I had in the past.

Needless to say I am furious and have contacted the attorney general. And this is on a safety issue causing one of the biggest recalls in history. Being a business owner myself, I understand that things sometimes go wrong. The measure of your integrity is how you handle that.

Mr. Bredemann has no integrity and has made that a part of his culture. He should be very proud. It had to take an incredible amount of effort.

in this lawsuit happy America, perhaps by working on your prior problems as warranty work the dealer would acknowledge liability and is/was reluctant to do so if its outside of the current recall.

If they are denying you service because of "past problems"-the way I read that is a huge scene was caused over something-or a similar occurance. Not that your car had past problems so now you can't take it back. So I wonder what the other side of this story is....

My advice-find another Toyota dealer to deal with as this one obviously no longer wishes to do business with you.
