SULTAN, WASHINGTON -- Irongoat's "High Speed Internet" service is intermittent and unreliable!
It was unavailable as much as 75% of the time during our last 6 or 8 months with them!
This company owners have become greedy! Value/Service has greatly diminished since they started their company! Rates have increased by 50% over the past year for less speed than prior to rate increase. They are growing their customer base, but are not adding equipment/bandwidth to keep up, so your chances of being able to access the internet is only getting worse month by month.
Customer service is horrible! They are very arrogant! You will likely never get a response to your complaint. If you get a response it will be hours or days after you complained and the usual response will be "everything is working fine"! Business hours are limited (no longer published) and you may reach someone if you call during those hours???, or NOT. If NOT your problem will not be handled until the next business day???! Imagine trying to run and ISP on limited business hours! DAH! If you specifically identify a problem, they will not listen. They treat their customers as if they were idiots, incapable of knowing when there is a real problem. Irongoat is always right! The Customer is always wrong(idiots)! Customers are lead to believe that their own computers are the problem and in certain instances have been convinced to buy new computers. SAD!
Routine maintenance is done during peak hours without prior notice. You never know when you are suddenly going to loose connectivity!
No matter how badly you think you need their service, think twice. We are finding it SO much better to have a reliable, dependable connection with a satellite company than to have intermittent, unreliable service with Irongoat!
