Slumberland Inc Complaint - Fourth bad recliner - salesperson's word
salesperson's word - Complaint
Review by BillBrown on 2010-03-09
NORTH BRANCH, MINNESOTA -- My wife and I bought our fourth recliner from Slumberland furniture nearly four years ago. Two had gone completely bad and were fixed to a degree by the company " fixer". I gave one away and burned the other. On this one I made very sure it would be fixed completely if it too turned out to be bad. The salesperson closed this sales with a handshake and promise. Any problems ever the chair would be replaced at no charge to us. Not even a delivery charge because there are Slumberland trucks passing here every week. Well about a year ago this green recliner started to squeak badly. Then about a week later the foot part that comes up was shorter on the left side. I got on the phone and that salesperson was not available. Due to health problems I was unable to continue to battle with Slumberland until this last week. I am better and I am back. I want the promised chair at no charge for delivery. The store claims there is no such contract and sorry that a salesperson would make such a handshake deal.
After today's chapter on the phone with Slumberland, I will wait until tomorrow then call the TV stations in the Twin Cities. Would anybody else who is still not satisfied with Slumberland please email me and join me in contacting the stations ? Bill
