Comcast Corporation Complaint - Bad Info / Poor Customer Service
I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Comcast representatives. I have been a loyal customer of Comcast for several years now.
I had Comcast service and planned to move to an RV park after a deployment to Afghanistan. I spoke with a Comcast representative and had an online chat with another and confirmed service was available at the RV park I wanted to move to. After returning from deployment, I put all my belonging into storage, purchased an RV and moved into that park only to then be told service was not available there.
I based my decision to move based on bad information given to me, in writing, from Comcast.
But that isn’t the end of my issue with Comcast. The customer service representative told me I could go to the Comcast downtown office and talk to a representative about installing new service for the entire park. They said the Comcast downtown office did not accept incoming phone calls and would not allow me to call. I visited in person and waited over an hour in line to get to a desk representative that said there was no one in that office who could help me. She emailed another representative and I got a return call. However, that representative only reiterated what I was told on the phone that there was not service in that area and the service area ended approximately 200 feet away. She again was unable to answer my question about how to expand the service area (even very slightly) to get cable service installed.
In each time I’ve talked to a representative, they told me several people over have requested service from this address.
I am very frustrated and angry with Comcast. I’ve certainly let my friends and coworkers know and will continue to do so. However, I would be happy if I could just get an answer to my issue. I would like to get Comcast to make service available to the 63 lot spaces in the above address. It would be financially beneficial to Comcast and make many people happy.
