"Evercom needs to give inmates a break they are people too"

A break from what?

There is one easy way to avoid padding the pockets of the Evercom CEO. Stay out of trouble, stay out of jail and you wont require their services.

Your husband can always keep in touch via letters. It is alot cheaper.

You are making the assumption that this is a calling card like you would use to call your aunt ima. It's not. It's simply different way to handle the collect call which is the only way that inmates can call out. Rather than calling the operator and having the operator call you to approve the reversal of charges, it's done on a card. And the cost is completely consistent with collect call plans anywhere in the states.

He is in jail--no need for breaks. If you are concerned about contact for your children--write letters!

These "children of tomorrow" need a father not an inmate. (NH)

If you weren't receiving the service you paid for, then you'd have a gripe. Otherwise, you just have to accept the price and move on.
