Prudential Complaint - It's too late for me..but maybe not for others... - life insurance policy

life insurance policy - Complaint
Review by siamlover on 2010-03-10
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- After my twin daughters and I have experienced the loss of their dad/my ex husband..he had an insurance policy with Prudential..not much mind you, but enough to get them into a college once they reach of age..
to make a long long story short..i gave prudential all they asked for and
all I am met with is delay, excuses, and piss poor reasons why they can't
disburse the check rightfully owed to my girls..
it is madness...now the agent will not return my phone calls ( I am in the
right on this one) they told me I have to go through probate court when
my ex told me and it states in his will I DO NOT have to do such a thing
all it is pure and simple is STALL TACTICS to hold onto their money
which I find madness..they wanted their money each and every month and got it..now my ex is dead and they are making this process impossible to
say the least!!!!!!
very impersonal and I pray others read this review and save themselves
grief..my ex would turn over in his grave knowing I am going through such
turmoil..it is a back and forth deal with prudential...
now the claims representative will not return my calls after I disputed what she said
i needed to do..
unbelievable...! and the bad part "THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS SH--"
so not fair to the loved ones who are needing the money and want to use
it for the reason it was left for them...
I DESPISE PRUDENTIAL....

Lawyer?

You might want to consult an attorney. To my knowledge, insurance beneficiaries receive the money outright, however, I'm not sure what happens if the beneficiaries are minors. That may be where probate court comes in. Prudential should be able to explain the procedure to you, but since you seem to be having so much trouble, you might be better off with an attorney.
