Juniper Bank Complaint - Beware Unsavory practices
I have been a Juniper account holder for four years. I have been a good customer paying on time and paying in full most every month. This last December during the holidays I was out of town and came in on Monday evening, went straight to the computer to pay my Juniper account which was due that day. I logged into my account, initiated the payment and posted it. A confirmation came up and everything seemed okay. I went online the next day and I had a late fee and my payment had posted as the next day. I called customer service and was told that my payment was 2 minutes past the cut off time therefore I was charged a late fee of $39.00. TWO MINUTES!!!!!!!!! I asked to have the late fee waived since it was ridiculous to charge someone over a difference of 2 minutes. I was told that yes they would remove the late fee so I was a bit happier with that but not for long, I received my next statement and that late fee was still there, surprise, surprise.... I called "NO" customer service, I was told no you were not told the fee would be waived, uh excuse me, do we need to listen to the recording, you do record the conversations right? "yes we do, well we are not going to waive it, and when I asked why he said "there is no reason". OMG, I lost it. I asked to talk to an adult, a supervisor, there are none available but I will have one call you within 48 hours. Ha, that never happened!!!! I have never done done business with such a company and NEVER will again!!!!
