Cingular Wireless Complaint - Buyer Beware! - Rollover Minutes
ILLINOIS -- DON'T CHOOSE CINGULAR! I never had a cell phone until 2 years ago when I moved and decided I didnt need a land phone I'm 50 yrs. old, not a teen). I was talked into this nightmare by a fast talking, no brain from cingular. I took the 600 daytime with rollover & 5000 night & weekends package for $39.99. Since I don't use my phone much I accumulated hundreds of roll over minutes each month only to have them wiped out after my one year anniversary. I called Cingular only to find out that they add the roll over minutes to the back end of your next months minutes and if you don't use them by the next month you may as well kiss them goodbye. I feel I paid for the minutes, I should get them. When I explained that the kid I spoke to "Bob" didn't feel it necessary to explain all this to me and that I wanted out of the contract, they basically told me tough luck lady, you're in for the long haul. OK, so now comes this months bill, $154.00!! What!!!?? Not only ddid I discover that they are double billing me for minutes (make sure you check your detailed listing every month!), but they are charging me 45 cents a minute for every minute I go over! That's $10 for a 20 min all!1 Am I missing something, how many millionaires do we have living in the world..I know I'm not one of them! Come on people, we have to do something! Cable, the internet and phones are not luxeries anymore, they are necessities! I am self supporting, need a phone and live paycheck to paycheck because I'm paying these overpaid big shots big salaries. They know they have us by the B@lls! Enough is enough. What can we do???
