Budget Rent-A-Car Complaint - Misuse of Credit Card Information
We rented a car from Budget when one of our family cars had to go in the shop of a local dealership. We originally said we'd need the car for a couple of weeks. When the repairs got pushed back, we would call the local office and speak to "Jason" and tell him it may be another couple of weeks. Each time he said, No Problem". Then we began getting threatening letters accusing us of stealing the car. I called "Jason" and he said he'd take care of the problem. We got 3 letters all together. We returned the car after 8 weeks and we didn't complain about the rental charges. Then, from the Budget Rent A Car Corporate offices, we were billed for the expense of the Return Receipt Letters that threatened us. Budget claims that I never responded to their letters that threatened arrest for theft but they, also, never contacted their local rental office for his response to the car's whereabouts. Extremely poor communications within the corporate organization. This added charge is flagrant misuse of confidential credit card information. When I disputed the charge, Budget had the charge processed again. BE WARNED. YOU MAY GET CHARGED FOR UNAPPROVED EXPENSES, TOO!
