Spirit Airlines Complaint - I wouldn't wish spirit on my worst enemy.
DETROIT, MICHIGAN -- Overall, extremely unsatisfying. In my entire life, I have never been screwed over as badly as I was this morning by a spirit employee (and I'm a girl in my last year of highschool, so that's saying a lot). We arrived in the baggage check in two hours before our flight departure time (the a lotted amount of time spirit suggests you be there on their website) and the line alone looked as if it would take two hours. We stood in this line for a half an hour until we had heard an employee asking for people on our flight to make their way to the "jump the line" kiosk. When my parents asked her (and we did so at least twice) she told our family of 6 to get back into the line and stay there. She asked again 45 minutes later, and my mother asked her a third time and she finally told us to go to the kiosk and check our bags, and guess what? Our flight had already been closed. This could not be blamed on long lines at the kiosk as I'd been watching and saw few people using it and the ones who were, were going on the same flight as my family and I. Afterward, the supervisor was very unhelpful with finding us a new flight and told us that the next flight out was already overbooked by 6 people (so yes, another 6 people would be kicked off of their flight). we could find no more flights to our destination with any other airline and we missed our cruise departure at 4 o'clock this afternoon.
Spirit ruined my last March break, and I refuse to ever fly with them again.
