Hilton Hotels Complaint - Advanced Purchasing - SCAM
I had made and advanced reservation with HILTON for a wedding this April. We had to make the reservation in August. We made the reservation because the wedding is also near race week. We made the reservation over the phone because we were unable to book online using the blocked rooms provided for the wedding party.
We were told it was "The Best Rate" and we agreed. The cancellation policy was glossed over. No mention was made regarding transfer or changes to the reservation.
Well the wedding was cancelled and we are stuck - PREPAID HELL - with a reservation in Lexington, KY. Nothing against Lexington but I have no reason to go there as the wedding is off. We have been in dispute with this for the last few months. Advanced purchase says - "Nothing we can do", Hilton exec "Nothing we can do". What I'm getting out of this is - there NOTHING THEY WANT TO DO. They have made a lifetime non-customer. Customer service at it's worst and a total scam to book through advanced purchase. In review we paid 5$ less for this fee over the standard fee. Wow -severely overstated savings.
The trust is lost.
