Stamps.com Complaint - Stamps.com - Beware if you want to cancel - Bad customer service - Stamps.com

Complaint
Review by Philippe Bougard on 2010-03-15
A few months ago, as I could not get into PayPal to print a postage forEbay, I went to the Stamps.com site. In order to try their services, I had to register and I guess I did not read carefully enough what I was getting into.
Bottom line, I have not used the service once but have been billed 2 times $15.99 until I caught it on my Amex statement today (March 15, 2010). I went online to try to cancel but of course I could not. I finally found a customer service number and I had to ask at least 4 or 5 times to cancel. the representative tried to keep enroll with all bunch of gimmicks even though I told him I did not need all the functionalities of their software - Printing postage with Paypal is just good enough - an that it was my mistake. To add insult to injury, I was told that there will be another charge of $15.99 on my Amex before they will finally close my account on March 26.

Bottom line - think twice before you sign up, especially if you thing you will just "try".

Truthfully
