Wgis Microsystems Complaint - Web design and coding
DELHI LUCKNOW BHOPAL -- This company is based in India but it warrants a review because they freelance and work for anyone in the world.
Also the serious nature of their activity I would like to make sure no one else experiences the same poor service that I have endured.
Our company was subject to several cons from high level members of this company.
First one of the developers I will refer to as P, was working with us to make some changes to a website. P demanded some money up front for the work and we paid him this deposit, we were going to pay the final installment when the site was shown to us in a complete state. P delayed us for several months on a job he had quoted to only take a few days to do. Eventually when we called him to request the site to be reinstated he simply hung up on us. We then found out that the site had been infected with malware and that the google search engine had blocked us for spreading viruses.
We then complained to the company, The company then informed us that the Developer P was a Rogue employee and that the company had nothing to do with this problem. We then demanded that the site be repaired because we employed him as an employee of Wgis Microsystems, We showed them proof of his name being on their website as the CEO, they removed this name from the site.
The person we were talking to was V, V informed us that P had been sent to jail for his online crimes.
And after some negotiation V agreed to do work on a different site for a very reduced rate that we paid via Paypal.
We then were informed by V that they had some new employees who were capable of working in PHP to repair the damage to our first site, but it was going to cost several hundred dollars. We agreed believing that the recent work was of a reasonable standard and the company must be honest.
So after some work had been done to the site (Mostly simple text changes) V requested half the money. We tried paying via PayPal and he insisted that it wasn't working and asked us to use another payment Gateway. We used Moneybookers.
Then we continued to work with V but the work progression slowed and we were informed that he required some of the money to pay his developers otherwise they would stop completely on the project. We made a payment via Paypal and it bounced back, we then tried again and it bounced back. we asked why this was happening and it turned out he was clicking the return button then we paid again and he said "don't pay by Paypal because I have to pay extra tax in India with Paypal now". The problem was that the last payment never came back to our account and he was claiming he never got it.
We emailed PayPal and they informed us that the payment was cleared and it was in his account.
We then had a fluctuating response from V at Wgis Microsystems, he was swinging from saying he received the payment to saying that the payment never came in. All the time he was promising that the work would be complete and he would upload.
The bombshell hit when we rechecked the Wgis Microsystems site and found out that the first employee who riddled our site with Viruses was named on the site again as CEO. And V was now CFO.
We demanded an explanation and V said P had been cleared of his crimes, But he had no explanation for us regarding the problems that P had caused to our site and the fact that we had to pay to get those problems repaired.
V now continued to dodge us and make promises, He complained of the changes working remotely on his server and not when uploaded to our online server. V then he said we have done most of the work... like 80% so it is complete. This guy had no idea what completing a task was. Complete is 100% in my book, but maybe things work differently in India.
We then told them that we had had enough of their trouble and gave them one last chance to complete the work, they refused to do this work, we then requested that they send us the copies of our files so we could upload ourselves and if they didn't work we could get a local developer to complete the work, V refused again.
It turned very nasty at this point, V then told us that he was going to sell our software script online to other customers. We changed the passwords to our server and all the sites. V then showed us a website where there was an exact copy of our 2nd site that we paid the discounted rate for. He then told us that he will damage our sites because he has built back doors in our software.
It all ended with us finding that the same virus was back on our site and the repair bill is approx US$800-$1200, and the 2nd site we had him build is an illegal copy so we have to buy another one.
