Dish Network Complaint - Don't cancel your service....you will have to pay!
While trying to cancel my Dish Network, I was rigourously pushed to reconsider my decision. They offered my all kinds of wonderful offers to which I explained that when I called a few days earlier to ask about these offers none were given. Anyway, I told them that I would like to cancel my service as I am switching to another competitor. I was told that I would have to ship back my receivers and climb on my roof to retreive the "eye" on the dish. Also that I would have to pay to have these things shipped to them. I could not agree to these terms that they had given me. By my not agreeing to these terms they also could not cancel my service. I am sorry, but they delivered these items to my house at no charge when I was a new customer but now that I am leaving them they think that I should have to pay to give them back to them. They have done no work to deserve the $15.00 charge it will take to ship these items back to them. (By using their labels they charge you $15.00). Now if I do not pay to send them back, they will charge me for all of the equipment. I will never use Dish Network again, nor will I recommend them to anyone in the future. I have contacted the FCC about their practices.
